【Liquid Cooling Hose Selection Guide】
Hose material directly determines cooling efficiency, safety, and maintenance cost. The table below compares mainstream liquid cooling hose materials, helping you quickly decide based on power density, coolant type, and service life.

① Cold‑plate liquid cooling – cost‑effectiveness & easy installation
→ EPDM hose or silicone hose
Flexible and easy to route, ideal for tight rack spaces
Compatible with deionized water, ethylene/propylene glycol solutions
Silicone hose offers a wider temperature range, suitable for fluctuating ambient temperatures
② Immersion liquid cooling – chemical compatibility & low permeability
→ PTFE hose
Resistant to dielectric fluids (fluorinated liquids) – no swelling, no leachables
Near-zero permeability, maintaining long‑term coolant purity
Transparent/semi‑transparent option for easy fluid inspection
③ High‑power AI servers – high pressure & long life
→ Stainless steel corrugated metal hose
Extremely high pressure rating (burst pressure ≥25 MPa), zero permeability
Service life >10 years, ideal for mission‑critical systems that cannot be shut down
Note: risk of galvanic corrosion when connected to aluminum cold plates – use insulating pads or electrochemically compatible design
④ Air conditioning / thermal management systems – excellent airtightness

Better airtightness than EPDM or silicone, suitable for refrigerants or gas media
Good oil resistance, can be used for compressor oil return lines
⑤ High‑flow & suction/discharge dual‑duty (e.g., between CDU and reservoir, pump suction side, drain & maintenance)
→ EPDM suction & discharge liquid cooling hose (large diameter, Ø19–102 mm)
Strong negative pressure resistance: built‑in spiral steel wire prevents collapse under suction, ideal for pump inlet (vacuum side)
Large diameter: up to 102 mm (approx. 4 inches), meets high‑flow demands of multiple liquid‑cooled racks
Dual‑duty: works for both pressure delivery and suction/vacuum – one hose, two functions
Typical applications: main lines between CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit) and dry coolers/cooling towers, intake lines from reservoir to pump, temporary hoses for system drain & coolant recovery, header pipes for parallel racks
